Our Story

Inspiring Beginnings


I decorated my bedroom with my mother’s leftover sewing material when I was a little girl. I even made paintings that I ended up hanging on the walls. While I can’t say this was professional-level interior design, it led to a significant insight in my young life: empty spaces—empty walls, empty anything—could be transformed into something new, unique, and beautiful if one only has the intention to do so. This passion evolved from weddings to events and now to homes.


I watched movies—The Proposal, The Wedding Planner, 27 Dresses, HGTV, and I loved Martha Stewart—which inspired me in a way only movies can. (Some people watch a movie and want to be Wonder Woman, Superman, or Iron Man. I wanted to be a wedding planner and create beautiful, functional homes.) From there, my desire to create only grew. I experimented with designing little events and home projects for family and friends.


Promising Endeavors

As I continued to grow, I sharpened my skills and gained as much experience as possible by working with flowers and learning how to create beautiful table settings. The validation and reviews I received from my clients confirmed that I was headed in the right direction. With years of experimentation and experience behind me, I finally took the leap and started my part-time business, SET Events N Design, in 2013.

My journey has led me here, to where I’ve always wanted to be. "Here" is about helping you turn your dreams, events, homes, and aspirations into reality. "Here" is where you get professional event and design planning from start to finish. "Here" is where we create beauty that your guests will discuss for years. "Here" is where we create memories worth remembering—the kind of moments life is made of.

Founder

I love living life simply, being friendly, and easygoing. I have a passion for working with children. I enjoy sunsets and sunrises, the roaring of the ocean, learning about different cultures, and traveling to new places. I have an appreciation for all humans, love, nature, and the wonders of creation. I love connecting with people. My passion is growing in my relationship with God, accompanied by good coffee and my Bible in the mornings. I live my life by being honest and trustworthy, always working on my character to be a great human being.
